When it comes to eye care, few carry greater influence than Prof Ho Ching Lin. As a world-renowned Ophthalmologist and Yoga enthusiast, Prof Ho Ching Lin contributes extensively to global eye care. It is our great honour to meet with Prof Ho for a quick chat over coffee.

Q: As a world renowned eye surgeon, what is your take on female empowerment

Ans :
Thank you for the kind accolade.

My take on female empowerment is to challenge any gender stereotypes or beliefs which prevents or obstructs women from making decisions about their own lives, society and communities. It is to ensure that women have the same access to opportunities available to them as men have such as education, profession and lifestyle. This means raising the status of women where it is inferior to men and to remove any restrictions or limitiations preventing them the access to these rights due to their gender.
I do believe believe empowerment should come as much from within an individual as it does from without.

Q: How do you find Yoga empowering/clearing the mind/its impact on you

Yoga has significant impacts on me in several ways, both physically and mentally. Most importantly I find peace on the mat, allowing me to recharge and rejuvenate. At the same time I gain the strength and suppleness which enable me to enjoy everything I want to do whether it’s my career, sports or leisure.

Most importantly I find peace on the mat, allowing me to recharge and rejuvenate.

Eye care is important for all age groups so don’t neglect care for their eyes.

Q: As an ophthalmologist, what advise would you give to young people regarding eyecare

That eye care is important for all age groups so don’t neglect care for their eyes.
Wear appropriate correction for refractive errors and protection to prevent injury from sports, work, activities and the sun.
Be responsible and careful about contact lens wear and what goes into the eye.
Seek professional eye consult for any persistent eye symptoms and regular examiniations if there are risk factors, such as family history, for blinding eye diseases as vision damage from some conditions may be irreversible.

Q: What’s the difference that you feel Lenicc can bring (maybe talk about our raised fit design as well as philantrophy with our collab with The Vision Mission?)

Prof Ho wearing Asori pearl black frame with gradient brown lenses

Lenicceyewear is a unique eye wear provider in that besides providing stylish luxury eye wear they are also committed to wellness, philanthropy, and promoting local businesses.
I love that their sunglasses are well-made, stylish and fitted with great quality lenses (please elaborate type) for proper protection from the sun. They are attractive, invite endless compliments and are great values for their prices.
The raised fit makes it sit well, even on Asian faces, so that it can be worn all day for various activities- even yoga!🤗
The founders are committed to promoting eye health and are active in charities which prevent blindness.
Hence owning a pair of Lenicceyewear sunglasses is a win in more ways than one!
